STATEMENT
Texture, time, nostalgia, body, and culture are all themes I hold interest in. I am a queer interdisciplinary artist that primarily uses drawing, sculpture and photography to display emotions of reminiscing, reflection and conversation. From anxious thoughts, I aim to create works that offer solace for myself and a prospective audience with works that offer a reward for further introspection.
For me, time exists as a method to ground our thoughts, time as to truly relate to an object, and often it is much needed attention. I aim to keep my child-like curiosity that thinks rapidly but is now met with a matured mind of analysis that prefers the method of making that is honest and relatable. Nostalgia will always be within some aspect of my works serving a youthful understanding of creation, one of curiosity and instinct.
